Looking for a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that’s out of this world? Check out the Icon Pro Audio Cocoon from the Space Series that fuses vintage sounding clarity and warmth with a bold, intergalactic design.
The Cocoon utilizes a true electrostatic Golden Drop transducer within its space age architecture. The thin, ultralight pure gold diaphragm moves with laser sharp precision, resulting in better intelligibility while minimizing coloration or distortion. Built by hand in Latvia, the Cocoon features a Class-A discrete design using high-quality components for peak performance and remarkable durability with extremely low self noise.
The Cocoon includes a heavy-duty shockmount which mitigates rumble and low-frequency noise, while the included metal pop filter prevents plosives from ruining your take. An aluminum case is provided to keep the Cocoon safe during transport and storage.
