Whirlwind podDI – Personal Audio Interface

If you’ve been running live sound for a some time, nothing really weirds you out anymore. However, there’s one thing you know for sure: no matter how prepared you think you are for a gig, someone will always spring something on you that you just didn’t see coming. Here’s a way to keep the „oh crud“ moment from happening after a Swedish metalhead/performance artist named Hugo hands you his iPod and asks you to play track 3 when he lights a giant statue of Abe Vigoda on fire during the climax of his set – the Whirlwind podDI. The Whirlwind podDI is a simple passive direct box that lets you plug in any source with stereo 1/8″ or RCA outputs. And yeah, it’ll do more than JUST iPods too.
