Matthews Open-End Single Scrim | 24 x 36″, Black

This 24 x 36″ Open End Single Scrim by Matthews is a vital element of a comprehensive grip kit, providing users with the ultimate creative flexibility for precise light control. Constructed with a stainless steel frame, it incorporates a single layer of Black Bobinett lighting control fabric, which effectively diminishes the intensity of light in a specified area.

This particular frame features a single layer of Black Bobinett fabric, which diminishes the effective illumination of the designated area by half a stop. This reduction is denoted by the green fabric lining the frame. The intensity of light reduction can be precisely adjusted by rotating the scrim, thereby controlling the amount of light that must pass through the netting before reaching the subject. All Matthews Open End Scrims are made from durable stainless steel and include a 3/8″ pin for attachment to standard grip heads, along with an integrated support that allows the scrim to be suspended from a C-stand handle when not in use. A nearly invisible length of piano wire is threaded across the open side of the frame to effectively modify light by keeping the fabric taut without creating any additional shadows.
