SE Electronics SEE-X1D Overview
Designed as a drum microphone with applications beyond capturing your drum kit, the X1 D Kick Drum Condenser Microphone from sE Electronics can handle the SPLs produced by a kick drum while also being suited for piano and upright bass duties. Its titanium-sputtered capsule helps provide a faster transient response than a typical gold-sputtered capsule, allowing the X1 D to naturally capture drums and percussion sources. Its cardioid pattern helps reduce off-axis material, helping isolate your kick drum from the rest of your kit.
The microphone has a -10 dB pad, allowing flexibility in placement on particularly loud sources, and its bass cut at 80 Hz allows you to remove any unwanted low end sound. Its side mounted stand adapter allows for fast stand attachment.
