The Director direct box from Whirlwind converts an unbalanced line, instrument or speaker level signal to low impedance balanced microphone level, which is then suitable for imputing to a console or microphone preamp.The Director is a passive device and therefore requires no external power supply. The unit features a ground lift switch and a 30dB pad for selecting between line/instrument or speaker level signals.
